Skid Row – Wasted Time (Studio Version)

Wasted Time is a song by Skid Row. It was a single from their second album, Slave to the Grind. The song was released in 1991 and written by bandmates Sebastian Bach, Rachel Bolan and Dave “the Snake” Sabo. It was also the band’s last real hit on the US charts. Lead singer Sebastian Bach said the song was written about Steven Adler, the original drummer of hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. The song reached #88 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #30 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. ———————————— Lyrics: You and I together in our lives Sacred ties would never fray Then why cant I let myself tell lies And watch you die every day I think back to the times When dreams were what mattered Tough talking youth naivete You said you never let me down But the horse stampedes and rages In the name of desperation Is it all just wasted time Can you look at yourself When you think of what You left behind Is it all just wasted time Can you live with yourself When you think of what You left behind Paranoid delusions they haunt you Wheres my friend I used to know Hes all alone Hes buried deep within a carcass Searching for a soul Can you feel me inside your heart As its bleeding Why cant you believe you Cant be loved I hear you scream in agony And the horse stampedes and rages In the name of desperation Is it all just wasted time Can you look at yourself When you think of what You left behind Is it all just wasted time Can you live with yourself When you think of what You left

wonderful… Aly & AJ is a teen pop duo consisting of sisters Alyson Renae “Aly” Michalka and Amanda Joy “AJ” Michalka. They were born in Torrance, California, but spent part of their childhood in Seattle, Washington. They are both actresses, singer-songwriters, and guitarists. On September 26, 2006, their album, Acoustic Hearts of Winter was released. On this album, Aly and AJ perform traditional Christmas songs, including “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night”, as well as original songs, ” Greatest Time of Year ” and ” Not This Year “. Greatest Time of Year is the first single from Aly & aj’s Christmas album Acoustic Hearts of Winter. The single was used for The Santa Clause 3, similar to the way Hilary Duff’s song “Santa Clause Lane” was used for The Santa Clause 2, and the music video also had scenes from the film. The video first aired on October 16, 2006 on the Disney Channel. The single debuted at number ninety-six on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was released to itunes as a single version with the beginning chorus cut off like in the video as well as an 8 second snippet just before the bridge. The cover of the single is on there too, despite that it wasn’t a mainstream single release. * The music video was directed by Declan Whitebloom. * The video does not include the intro but instead skips to the first verse of the song, and it also leaves out a small 8 second snippet just before the bridge. There are no other differences. * The music video first aired on

Mickey Gilley – Don’t The Girls All Get Prettier At Closing Time (Live, 1985)

1985 live performance of his huge 1976 Billboard #1 hit !! LYRICS: Oh, the girls all get prettier at closing time Oh, they all begin to look like movie stars Oh, the girls all get prettier at closing time When the change starts taking place It puts a glow on every face Of the falling angels of the back street bars. If I could rate’em on a scale from 1 to 10 I’m lookin’ for a 9 but 8 would work right in A few more drinks and I might slip to a 5 or even a 4 But when tomorrow morning comes, And I wake up with a number 1 I swear I’ll never do it anymore. Oh, the girls all get prettier at closing time Oh, they all begin to look like movie stars Oh, the girls all get prettier at closing time When the change starts taking place It puts a glow on every face Of the falling angels of the back street bars. I don’t mean to criticize the girls at all Cause I’m no Robert Redford, even overhauls We all picture in our minds a girl that looks just right Ain’t it funny, ain’t it strange, The way a man’s opinion changes When he starts to face that lonely night. Oh, the girls all get prettier at closing time Oh, they all begin to look like movie stars Oh, the girls all get prettier at closing time When the change starts taking place It puts a glow on every face Of the falling angels of the back street bars. The falling angels of the back street bars. .
