I’ll even be blunt to say that Back at One is one of my favorite R&B songs ever. From the ingenious piano roll in the beginning to the hook, this song really does take me back. Since winter is rolling into the NYC Tri-state area these next few weeks, I thought I’d put you in the proper mood with this record. It’s the perfect feel for what I call “Get-a-Girlfriend” season. Back at One was released in 1999 and it reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 where it stayed put for 8 consecutive weeks.
